This is designed to meet the unique needs of students with daisalibites in compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA, 2024).

Section 504 is a federal law that prevents schools and other entities from discriminating against individuals with disabilities.


Section 504 ensures that students with disabilities receive necessary accommodations.

Who qualifies?

To qualify, the student MUST have a mental or physical impairment that substainally limits daily tasks at school

To qualify, the student MUST have a mental or physical impairment that substainally limits daily tasks at school (TEA, 2024).

The process involves:

1. Referral for evaluation

2. Eligibility Determination

3. Developing a Plan

4. Review and Revisions


Parents rights:

Right to Evalation & rights to be involved in meetings where the child is discussed.
